This general privacy statement sets out the information you need to know about the way in which the DRCF will collect information via the website, process and store your personal data, how long we will keep it for, your rights in connection with that data, and the people with whom we may need to share it.
What data we collect and how we use it

We use your Personal Information only for providing and improving the site. We use your personal data submitted via the form to process your query and provide you with an answer.
Our processors
We use third parties to provide elements of services for us,including Optimizely.

They will not share your personal information with any organisation apart from us. They will hold it securely and retain it for the period we instruct. When it is necessary for us to transfer your personal information outside of the UK this will only be done in accordance with the UK GDPR.
Sharing your personal data
The website provides an email address and a ‘contact us’ form which is sent to our DRCF@ofcom.org.uk inbox.
The DRCF may share your information with the member regulators (Ofcom, CMA, FCA and ICO) to support the collective working of the DRCF, and to answer any queries you may have submitted via the ‘Contact Us’ section. When you email the DRCF we will share this information with the member regulators to provide the correct response. These organisations will process the information in accordance with their own privacy and information governance policies.
How long will my personal data be kept
When receiving a communication via ‘contact us’ we will send this to all member regulators, they will then keep personal data in line with their respective policies as linked above.
How will the DRCF keep my data secure
The DRCF member regulators have each put in place appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data and to prevent any unauthorised or unlawful processing and any accidental loss, destruction or damage to it.
From time to time, the DRCF may need to transfer personal data to other countries (via the relevant regulator), for example, where personal data is being stored securely in the cloud and the relevant servers are located overseas. The relevant regulator, in these circumstances, first ensure that the relevant regulator has the appropriate safeguards in place to protect your personal data.
Your rights in relation to your personal data
The DRCF is committed to protecting your privacy in accordance with data protection legislation. Under data protection legislation, you have rights to access your personal data and, in certain circumstances to: object to the processing of the data, or to request that it be rectified or erased; request that the processing of the data is restricted; and to data portability of that data. Where the DRCF is relying on your consent in order to use your personal data you may withdraw that consent at any time (however this will not affect the lawfulness of the data processing before your consent was withdrawn). You do have the right complain to the Information Commissioners Office about the processing of your personal data. Instructions on how to withdraw consent can be found within the relevant regulator’s policy.
